Here in Somerset I have been busy preparing Snowdrop and Spring Flower Decorations in readiness for our local Snowdrop Festival.

This annual event sees a host of community activities taking place around the town, photography exhibitions, and (my personal favourite) a Poems and Paintings exhibition featuring work by the children of Croscombe Primary School.

Both of these exhibitions are held in the beautiful setting of The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul where on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th we will also be joining them for a two day Arts and Craft sale - find beautiful Snowdrop and Floral themed work all produced locally by a talented array of artists and designer - makers. I am delighted to have been invited to show again and look forward to meeting you there if you are visiting.

There will also be Snowdrop Trails, Open Garden events, and of course a selection of specialist nurseries where you can track down rare and unusual Galanthus varieties.

February has also seen a selection of Snowdrop Decos being delivered to my stockists, I was thrilled to produce new pieces for Museum in the Park, Stroud who are holding a month of Snowdrop events, and enjoyed a trip across the Somerset Levels to refresh my display space in the gallery shop at Hestercome House and Gardens. The bright Winter sun was a welcome tonic as I took the chance to wander around the beautiful grounds.

Finally a quick thank you for the lovely reception you have given the new Snowdrop and Primrose decorations -  I hope you or the lucky recipients are enjoying them in your homes and that they are a welcome reminder that Spring is on it's way.
